“A great writer created a world of his own and his readers are proud to live in it. A lesser writer may entice them in for a moment, but soon he will watch them filing out.”(Cyril Connolly) Ethical Obligations of a writer are things like making necessary changes to what he or she is writing about. Another obligation is to move the audience they are speaking to. They have to be based on what they are talking about to fit their audience. They need to be able to move their audience whether it's through the audience's mind or in their actions. Now depending on the type of context, they are writing in, writers to me would be responsible for certain actions made by the readers.
Imagine an article you are reading is about racial issues but in this, they are trying to get you to help make the world better and get rid of the racial issues. This article is to help build awareness in you because you may not see this issue on a daily basis. This awareness can be built in different ways in your mind. You can spread this awareness by talking to people about this issue to people like your friends or family. On the other hand, you could take it as to start a whole movement and get thousands of people to protest about this issue.
When writers are addressing the stakeholders they should be careful about the way they word or talk about certain things. They have to be able to understand every side and how it may affect the stakeholders. So before writing they should really figure out a strategy to connect with the stakeholders. Doing this will help connect better with them and really show awareness of this situation with the readers that aren't stakeholders.
