My first impression of the Literacy Narrative Assignment was very bewildered, mainly because it took me a while to understand what I needed to do. After I started to understand what I had to do, I had so many ideas and it had become overwhelming. I wasn’t quite sure where I should start just because of the fact that I have never had anyone ask me who I am as a writer. Honestly, when I would write it would mainly be writing a book report but even when I did that in high school I always had a platform.

The one thing that stands out to me in the assignment is how we have to question ourselves as writer’s. Questioning ourselves as writers could be a difficult task for some people, which makes this assignment even better. “Mental toughness is spartanism with qualities of sacrifice, self-denial, dedication. It is fearlessness, and it is love.”. (Vince Lombardi.) Yes I am excited that this assignment is going to challenge me but I fear it's going to get me thinking to much and I won't be able to get all my thoughts or I will get to much out.

In this generation the most important communication literacy would have to be all things digital. Today, a lot of people use technology as the main way of communicating for everyday living, such as doctor appointments, learning online with teachers, and messaging family. Especially when the pandemic had started everything turned into use of technology on a daily basis from video chatting with friends and family, kids of all ages were leaning online too. Most people prefer talking to others on technology then writing them and taking that chance of misspelling or grammar error. I prefer to use technology to communicate with my friends and family just because of fact that there is grammar check and spelling check so there will be less room for error.

Technology communication is important in so many ways and so many people prefer it for so many reasons too. Doctors today can video chat you from home if you are feeling too sick to come in for the appointment or can't just make it. Not only does that help yourself it would also help the spread of it. When you think about it you could spread what you have to the nurse who's signing you in or the person you next to in the office. Just communicating through technology helps in so many ways it's fast, easy, and efficient.

When I first discovered my communication literacy skills was when I was in high school I would always see all my classmates texting on their phones. So technology had become a need in high school if I wanted to talk to any of my classmates. So when I got my first job I bought my first phone and for the most part I taught myself how to use it but I did ask other people for help. Technology is now a big need for a everyday living but sometimes we all forget that there's still a world around us and living people.
